Joyce LePaula Jones Celebrates 38 Years in Healthcare
Joyce LePaula Jones was instrumental in assisting the Maryland Foundation for Healthcare become the peer review organization for the State of Maryland

Baltimore, MD, September 9, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joyce LePaula Jones, RN, BSN, MS, Senior Consultant of Clinical and Accreditation Programs for Johns Hopkins International, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in maternal and child healthcare consulting.

Joyce LePaula Jones is a veteran healthcare professional with 38 years of industry experience, specializing in maternal and child healthcare consulting. She joined Johns Hopkins International in 2004 and has since become indispensible to the success of the organization's clinical and accreditation programs. As a senior consultant, she is tasked with assessing the clinical programs of International hospitals and ensuring that criteria is met to use John Hopkins brands and education to reach Joint Commission standards. She also acts as director of regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins International, Ms. Jones worked as Director of Regulatory Affairs at JHI, for the Baltimore City Peer Review Organization, for the Maryland Foundation for Health Care, as a maternal and child health educator at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and as a staff nurse and charge nurse in the labor and delivery suite at the University of Maryland Hospital.

Achievements of which Ms. Jones is most proud include creating curriculum change to combine the Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics curricula at Sinai Hospital School of Nursing; assisting the Maryland Foundation for Healthcare to become the peer review organization for the State of Maryland; and assisting in establishing the ground work to facilitate the ability of Johns Hopkins Hospital to consistently attain joint commission accreditation and maintain all relevant licenses and certifications with other regulatory agencies.

Ms. Jones received her Master's Degree in Adult Education from The Johns Hopkins University in 1975, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland in 1969, and her Registered Nurse degree from Provident Hospital's Helen Fuld School of Nursing in 1966. A 2008 VIP member of Cambridge Who's Who, she attributes her success to her perseverance, knowledge, creativity and abilities to set and accomplish long and short-term goals and acknowledge people who have helped her throughout her career.

Johns Hopkins International (JHI) is the organization within Johns Hopkins Medicine charged with advancing the Johns Hopkins mission of teaching, research and patient care internationally.
