Peggy Ann Mitchell celebrates 35 years of professional success

RADFORD, VA, September 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peggy Ann Mitchell, Team Leader of Transcription Services at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical services.

Through her initial desire to become a nurse, Peggy Ann Mitchell entered the world of transcription services over 35 years ago. She has since risen to the notable position of Team Leader of Transcription Services, responsible for overseeing all hospital document transcription, supervising a staff of nine employees, and managing information pertinent to patient diagnostics, hospital diagnoses and dictations with the use of an electronic information catalogue system. In the near future, Ms. Mitchell intends to successfully oversee the hospital's complete transition into Electric Power Information Catalogue Entries technology.

A demonstrated lifelong learner, Ms. Mitchell received training in transcription at Lord Fairfax Community College and completed coursework in nursing at James Madison University. She is a generous contributor to her local church, the American Heart Association, Inc., the Alzheimer's Association and United Way of America.
