Dr. Elisabeth Heptner Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
The highlight of Dr. Elisabeth Heptner's career was the opportunity to establish new houses in India

/Hospitals News Articles/ -- LEONARDTOWN, MD, January 4, 2010, Dr. Elisabeth Heptner, Board of Director for St. Mary's Medical Center, and Treasurer for two national organizations, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in organizational management.

With 56 years of professional experience, Dr. Heptner attributes her success to her faith in God, and to the support she receives from her parents, teachers, and mentors. Her responsibilities at St. Mary's Medical Center include organizational development, and maintaining notes of events. For five years, she worked with the International Ecumenical Group, which met in different countries every year to find ways to grow together in their communities. She served as superior general in Rome Italy, and was part of the council of 16 superior generals, who advised on the churches mission in the world.

Dr. Heptner received her Ph.D. in German Language and Literature in 1975 from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Master of Arts in German Literature and Language and her Bachelor of Arts in English, from Webster University. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
