At VitalSpring, Gloria E. Mason utilizes 19 years of experience to excel as the vice president of health information exchange (HIE). In her position, she participates with the CEO and President of VitalSpring, Sreedhar Podarazu, to create and implement the vision for Affynyty. She also coordinates with all VitalSpring teams to assure that Affynyty is ready for the HIE marketplace.
A certified nurse practitioner through Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas (1981), Ms. Mason previously worked as an emergency room nurse practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sonoma State University, Summa Cum Laude, in 1991. She is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. In recognition of her accomplishments, Ms. Mason was named the San Fransisco Bay Area Federal Employee of the Year in 1999. She also received the Hands and Heart Award from the Veterans Administration in 1997. Ms. Mason is past president of the Pacific Empire Chorus Chapter of Sweet Adelines, which named her "Sweet Adeline of the Year." She also served on Sweet Adelines' Region 12 Board of Directors.
