Lynnette Shannon Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Lynnette Shannon's expertise includes risk management
AURORA, CO, October 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynnette Shannon, Director of Quality for Patient Safety at Parker Adventist Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.
With 18 years of professional experience, Ms. Shannon attributes her success to her husband, the support she receives from her family, and to loving what she does. Her responsibilities at Parker Adventist Hospital include working on root cause analyses, conducting training, handling presentations, authoring training modules and overseeing infection control. She also directs the department, including managers, front-line staff, clinicians and 13 direct reports and deals with risk management situations and patient care. Additionally, she devises strategies and policies, reviews occurrence reports and oversees case management, utilization management, and core measure sets and abstractors in preparation for the surveyor.
Ms. Shannon is pursuing a master's degree in law at Sturm College of Law, University of Denver. In 2000, she became a certified quality manager through the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford. A certified Six Sigma Green Belt, she received a master's degree in public administration in 1996 from Troy State University and a Bachelor of Arts in nursing in 1986 from the College of St. Scholastica. She is a member of the Advocacy Committee for the State of Colorado as well as the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
