Dr. Barry R. DeYoung is the director of anatomy and surgical pathology at the University of Iowa
IOWA CITY, IA, November 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barry R. DeYoung, MD, Clinical Professor of Pathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medicine.
The director of anatomy and surgical pathology, Dr. DeYoung has 15 years of experience, including 10 years working as a clinical professor at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He possesses extensive knowledge of surgical pathology, immunochemistry and tissue proteins. In his position, he oversees the patient care unit for his department and educates medical students.
He attributes his success to his hard work and caring for people. He became involved in his profession after he realized he wanted to be a physician during his undergraduate study.
In 1991, Dr. DeYoung completed a MD. He is a member of the College of American Pathologists, USCAP and the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology. He is also affiliated with Alpha Omega Alpha.
He attributes his success to the skilled faculty with which he works and hopes to continue teaching the next generation of pathologists. Additionally, he intends to continue providing his patients with high-quality care services.
