GROSSE POINTE, MI, November 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Donald C. Austin has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical consultation.
With 44 years of professional experience, Dr. Austin serves as the president of his own medical consulting practice. His responsibilities include tending to patients and dictating reports. He reviews workers' compensation benefits, personal injury cases and instances of malpractice. Dr. Austin consults for the neurosurgery department at his local veterans' hospital and is a faculty member for the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He instructs residents in the field of neurology and offers medical services to his community.
A published author, Dr. Austin has written several nonfiction and fiction books in addition to field-related articles. He is a graduate of Indiana University and holds an MD, as well as a bachelor's degree in anatomy and physiology. He is certified as a disability analyst, forensic examiner and neurological surgeon.
Dr. Austin has been honored with humanitarian awards from the Wayne County Medical Society, the American Lung Association and the March of Dimes Foundation. In 2001, he was recognized by the Detroit Institute of the Arts with a Major Benefactor Award and a Corps Vitae Award from the American Heart Association.
