Patti Amidon's Desire to Help Others Yields Achievements in the Veteran Community
Ms. Amidon transmits her allegiance to United States Department of Veterans through 26 years of dedicated service

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, November 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patti J. Amidon, Procurement Analyst for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in construction management.

For the last 26 years, Ms. Amidon has demonstrated her dedication to the Department of Veterans Affairs, and her capacity to take on different roles, through various positions within the company. Having served as a supervisor and contracting officer, she developed an expertise in construction management, which supplied her with far ranging experiences including hospital collaborations and lease projects. Ms. Amidon recently accepted a position as a procurement analyst, stepping down as a supervisor in order to assist other VAs with contract reviews, training others on the use of the VA's electronic contracting program, and assisting in correcting problems with reporting of the dollars spent into the Federal Procurement Data System. She has been responsible for reviewing contracts. In her most recent interview with Cambridge Who's Who, Ms. Amidon described her journey into her company's supply management trainee program to be one of undeniable perseverance. Her application was denied 17 times before she was granted acceptance into the program to pursue her dream of helping the elderly. Further, Ms. Amidon mentioned her admiration of the veterans with which she works; the gratification she receives from the relationships they have fostered has made her 17-times-rejected application well worth the hard work.

Ms. Amidon graduated, with honors, from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor's degree in business administration - having been the first person in her family to do so. She maintains affiliation with the National Contract Management Association, and aspires to continue helping others. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing byway of playing computer games, including Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. Moreover, her benevolence shines through her support to the ASPCA and local breast cancer organizations.
