Dung Thanh-Anh Nguyen Honored for Accomplishments in Medicine
Dung Nguyen, FACOI, MAAC, holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

TUCSON, AZ, December 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dung Thanh-Anh Nguyen, DO, Physician at Grace Health & Healing Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in osteopathic medicine.

With 18 years of general internal experience, Dr. Nguyen has worked as a physician at Grace Health & Healing Center for 3 years. During his career, he has developed an expertise in internal, preventive, and holistic medicine. In his position, his responsibilities include providing health care to men, women and the elderly. He also uses a holistic approach to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual care through education and counseling. In addition to working as a clinician, he is an assistant clinical professor at Midwestern University Medical School.

Dr. Nguyen attributes his success to his faith in God and the support he receives from his parents. When he was a child, he fell ill and his parents were unable to afford treatment, so they gave a doctor a chicken in exchange for medicine. This experience has left a lasting impression on Dr. Nguyen and has influenced his service within the medical field.

Pursuing a Ph.D. in biblical studies, Dr. Nguyen completed a Doctor of Osteopathy at Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience in 1988. Additionally, he earned a Master of Arts in biblical studies from American Christian College and Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in biomathematics from Loma Linda University. Furthermore, he became a fellow in general internal medicine of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. A certified biblical counselor by the International Board of Christian Counselors, Dr. Nguyen is also recognized as a master by the American Academy of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Dr. Nguyen is the two-time recipient of a Physician of the Year award. When he is not working, he volunteers as a bilingual Sunday school teacher. He hopes to continue teaching and guiding future medical professionals.
