Karen Harris' expertise is in oncology and case management

BIRMINGHAM, AL, December 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen Harris, Nurse Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

With 12 years of professional experience, Ms. Harris attributes her success to the inspiration of her grandmother. As a nurse manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, she is responsible for staffing, managing human resources and finances and overseeing a 29-bed post-surgical unit. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. In 2001, she received a Master of Science in Nursing from The Capstone College of Nursing. Ms. Harris is a certified oncology nurse and certified case manager.
