With 31 years of professional experience, Ms. Buck developed an inclination for nursing while caring for her sick grandmother. As a registered nurse at Howard County General Hospital, Ms. Buck specializes in cardiology nursing and is responsible for overseeing a 30-bed unit in cardiology care. She attributes her success to the support of her family and mentors.
Ms. Buck also acknowledges her superior professors in helping her succeed. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University in 2009. She also holds a district level certificate in nursing and received the honor of Nurse of the Year in 1994. Ms. Buck is a member of the American Association of Critical Nurses and volunteers her time to the American Heart Association's HeartWalk Team as well as representing the hospital at the Howard County Fair. Pursuing a Master of Science in education at Drexel University, Ms. Buck looks forward to teaching at the college level. She also intends to become more active in organizations and political issues.
