Debra Ehmen Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Debra Ehmen is pursuing a master of science in nursing at Regis University

GIBSON CITY, IL, April 2, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debra Ehmen, Director of Nursing for the Long Term Care Division of Gibson Area Hospital Annex, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing administration.

Specializing in geriatrics, Ms. Ehmen has 33 years of experience in her field. As the director of nursing, she is responsible for maintaining patient care standards and advising medical staff members. She collaborates with paramedical staff and department administrators, implements and maintains a departmental budget, and prepares reports for higher management. She attributes her success to her experience and the support she receives from her mentors.

Ms. Ehmen is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing at Regis University. The recipient of an Associate Degree in Nursing, she is certified in geriatric and dementia care. She is also a licensed practical nurse and registered nurse educator. A board member for the Alpha-1 Advocacy Alliance, Ms. Ehmen belongs to the Illinois Health Care Association. She volunteers her free time to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and to the GAHHS-Auxiliary Department and to providing health education to the public regarding lung health and alpha antitrypsin deficiency awareness.
