Rosanne Karp Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Rosanne Karp specializes in gynecologic oncology

BOSTON, MA, April 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rosanne Karp, Registered Nurse and Case Manager at Massachusetts General Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Ms. Karp has 43 years of overall professional experience, and has been with Massachusetts General Hospital for 20 years. Her day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating utilization management, inpatient care, discharge, complex home care, home infusion and hospice services, documenting clinical condition of patients, and initiating reviews and repayment process. She is also in charge of attending family meetings, assisting physicians, therapists, social workers and registered nurses, assessing appropriate care, precepting new case managers, and orienting staff nurses.

A breast cancer survivor, Ms. Karp can relate with what patients and families go through. She has a true passion for what she does and for her patients. In 2005, she received the Jeanette Ives Erickson Award for Gynecology Resident Staff. She also received an award from the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Cancer Society, and the Award for Excellence in Nursing from the Massachusetts Area Health Education Center.

A lifetime member of Hadassah, Ms. Karp is affiliated with Congregation Beth Shalom and Marquis Who's Who. She participated in coursework at Northeastern University and became a registered nurse in 1967, and is currently pursuing her Master of Health Administration at Cambridge College.
