HOLLYWOOD, MD, June 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carol Boehm-Sullivan, an Emergency Nurse Practitioner for Medical Emergency Professionals (MEP) at St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in Emergency Care.

At St. Mary's Hospital, Ms. Boehm-Sullivan cares for patients in the Emergency Room, calling on her 32 years of experience to diagnose and treat emergencies. Ms. Boehm-Sullivan has been with MEP at St. Mary's Hospital for the past 5 years.

A volunteer Paramedic for the past 12 years, Ms. Boehm-Sullivan is an active member of the St. Mary's Advanced Life Support Unit, currently serving as the Chief. The St. Mary's ALS Unit provides volunteer advanced life support to St. Mary's County 24/7.

Ms. Boehm-Sullivan attributes her success to perseverance and dedication.

In 1995, Ms. Boehm-Sullivan graduated from The Catholic University of America, where she earned her Masters in Nursing and a Certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. In 1996, she earned her Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, also from The Catholic University of America. A certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Boehm-Sullivan is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of and certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a Paramedic. Ms. Boehm-Sullivan actively supports the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in her spare time and participated in the Walk in 2008 and 2009. In the future, she hopes to pursue a Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
