HOUSTON, TX, June 22, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Noha Salem, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician for Texas Children's Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in pediatric care.
Serving as a pediatrician for Texas Children's Hospital, Dr. Salem utilizes 21 years of experience in medicine. A seasoned professional in her field, she specializes in developmental and behavioral pediatrics. She diagnoses and treats patients ranging from infancy to adolescents. Her responsibilities entail diagnosing and treating children with acute and chronic illness, performing newborn and infant care, counseling prenatal women, assisting in community health screenings and administering vaccines.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Biology (1982) and MD (1989) from Alexandria University in Egypt, Dr. Salem completed her residency in pediatrics through The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (1994). A certified pediatrician with The American Board of Pediatrics, she has attained a board certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. In the future, she intends to pursue a fellowship in behavioral pediatrics.
