Dr. Joseph DeFrank brings 10 years of experience to St. Barnabas Hospital
BRONX, NY, July 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Joseph DeFrank, Physician at St. Barnabas Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in internal medicine.
Specialized in internal and family medicine, Dr. Joseph DeFrank possesses over a decade of professional experience in the healthcare field. Having practiced medicine in his native Dominican Republic for nine years, Dr. DeFrank now celebrates his fourth year as part of the U.S. healthcare system. Currently, he lends his talents to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where he practices adult general medicine. He meets with patients in the hospital as well as in a clinic setting, and is responsible for going on rounds and teaching medical students.
Distinguished for his aptitude, goal-oriented nature and perseverance, Dr. DeFrank was named Cambridge Publishing's 2009 Professional of the Year in Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He completed his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was honored with the Resident of the Year Award in 2007 for professionalism in auxiliary care. Dr. DeFrank is board certified in internal medicine and is professionally affiliated with the American College of Physicians. Looking ahead, he intends to enroll in a fellowship program.
