Barbara K. Welch celebrates 10th anniversary in the Emergency Department of The Ohio State University Medical Center

COLUMBUS, OH, August 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara K. Welch, Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of The Ohio State University Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

With more than two decades of practiced expertise in healthcare, Barbara K. Welch specializes in emergency room nursing at The Ohio State University Medical Center. This year, she celebrated her 10th anniversary at the hospital. She notes that the most rewarding aspect of her career there has been helping patients to recover and credits her success to her supportive family members.

Ms. Welch is working towards a master's degree in nursing from Excelsior College in New York and has an associate degree in medical assisting from Youngstown State University. She earned her nursing diploma at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. An active member of her professional community, she had served as vice president of the alumni chapter and secretary of Phi Mu. She is active on several negotiations committees of The Ohio State University Nurses Association and had served as a medical specialist at the 838th Military Police Company. Additionally, she maintains affiliation with the U.S. Army, the Emergency Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.
