Esther S. Cohen draws on 20 years of patient care experience as a nursing instructor at Keiser University
MIAMI, FL, August 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Esther S. Cohen, Professor in the Nursing Department of Keiser University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing education.
A 20-year veteran of patient care, Esther S. Cohen shares her knowledge with nursing students at Keiser University. She brings to her position hands-on experience as a nurse for Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she specialized in monitoring critically ill patients, administering medications, and treating trauma and burn patients. As a nurse, Ms. Cohen places emphasis on always putting her patients first and ensuring that they feel comfortable and confident that they are getting the attention that they need. She considers teaching to be the culmination of a fulfilling career in healthcare.
Ms. Cohen received a master's degree in nursing, with a concentration in nursing education, and a bachelor of science in nursing, both from Nova Southeastern University. She holds a certification in critical care nursing. Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Florida Nurses Association, the Transcultural Nurses Society, the National Leagues for Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau. In her spare time, she volunteers with a local breast cancer education program.
