Janet W. Ward Recognized for Excellence in Critical Care Nursing
Janet W. Ward intends to use her nursing career as the foundation for working as a legal medical adviser

LAS VEGAS, NV, September 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janet W. Ward, Registered Nurse at Mountainview Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in critical patient care.

A registered nurse with 18 years of experience, Ms. Ward works in the intensive care unit of Mountainview Hospital. She is charged with creating safe patient environments, controlling infections, ensuring privacy and helping patients' families cope. She must be knowledgeable in instrument use and ventilator operation, and precept new nursing students. Additionally, Ms. Ward offers education to patients and their families, consults on physician orders, and oversees the administration of medication and intravenous drips.

Ms. Ward became a registered nurse in 1992 when she earned an Associate of Science in nursing from Kilgore College. She also received an Associate of Arts in basic criminal and civil law from La Salle University in 1975. Certified in advanced cardiac life support, she belongs to the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. In the future, Ms. Ward hopes to continue working as a bedside care nurse, and lay the groundwork for a career in legal medical advisement.
