Lisa Lee Schroeder aims to improve the quality of emergency care for children
KANSAS CITY, KS, September 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lisa Lee Schroeder, MD, Emergency Department Medical Director for Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in pediatric care.
With 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Schroeder specializes in personnel management. She is responsible for managing the emergency department, ensuring that staff deliver quality patient care and are aware of policy changes and procedures, acting as a liaison between doctors and the administration, and educating personnel. She gained experience performing a rotation in the pediatric emergency department during medical school, and she attributes her success to her nature of working as a team player.
Dr. Schroeder received her MD in 1989 and her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1988, both from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is the president of the Emergency Physicians Foundation of Kansas City, on the Emergency Physicians Advisory Board, a member of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and a fellow for the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians. In the future, she intends to become more involved in the national committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
