LECANTO, FL, October 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Pamela J. Masoud, Anesthesiologist for EmCare, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in anesthesiology.

Dr. Masoud was inspired to pursue a career in anesthesiology because her father suffered from an illness which had to be treated with anesthetic medicine. Desiring to improve anesthetic techniques, she became certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology. Today, with more than three decades of professional experience, she has cultivated her expertise in regional anesthesia, pain medicine and medical consulting. She utilizes her skills in her role for EmCare, a trusted health care provider that specializes in the provision of physician services for emergency departments and inpatient physician services. Dr. Masoud is tasked with supervising other aneshesiologists and administering regional and general anesthesia to patients at a surgical care facility.

Dr. Masoud earned an MD from the University of Nebraska and went on to complete a residency and internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She remains current in her field through the American Society of Anesthesiologists and Independent Academic Research Studies. Dr. Masoud plans to retire in the near future; however, she intends to continue volunteering her services at a hospice.
