Jodene Robertson Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Medical Technology
Jodene Robertson has been named a VIP for 2011-2012
CLOVIS, CA, December 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jodene Robertson, Pathology Supervisor of Saint Agnes Medical Center, has been recognized as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical technology.
Ms. Robertson has 17 years of experience in her field. For the past 2 years, she has acted as pathology supervisor for Saint Agnes Medical Center, an acute-care teaching hospital. She previously acted as the supervisor at a privately owned laboratory for 5 years. She specializes in image analysis on breast cancers. In her leading role at the medical facility, she oversees employee evaluations and relations, troubleshoots equipment issues and handles problem-solving on a wide array of issues. In addition, she oversees policies and procedures, budgets, interviews, system administration, and digital slide scanning. She also does bench work on a regular basis so she stays current with her skill level.
She attributes her success to her desire to learn, excellent opportunities to continue to advance in her career and the success of her staff. Ms. Robertson became involved in her profession after acquiring experience in the medical field as an emergency medical technician and a medical assistant. She took the position the hospital offered as a Histology Assistant and through hard work and dedication to her field, she then moved up. The highlight of her career has been working as an image analyst and breast cancer specialist.
Ms. Robertson is both HT Certified and QIHC Certified. She is a member of the National Society for Histotechnology and the American Society of Clinical Pathology. In 2002, in recognition of her altruism as a live kidney donor, she received an award from the Governor of Wisconsin.
In light of her accomplishments, Ms. Robertson would like to acknowledge the significant mentors that have influenced her and have had a tremendous impact on her career: Dr. Ralph McCoy, who taught her about breast cancer and how to read and analyze information like a pathologist, Ms. Rita Humphrey, her first Histology supervisor who provided personalized training, and her peers, without whom she wouldn't have had the wonderful opportunities she has had throughout her career.
