DOTHAN, AL, May 20, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. J. Christopher Strunk, Physician at Wiregrass Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in psychiatric services and health care.
Dr. Strunk attended medical school with a strong interest in psychology and mental health. After earning an MD from the University of Colorado in 2000, he went on to complete a residency and internship through the same institution and a second residency at Creighton University. Today, he utilizes his expertise in geriatric consultation and dementia evaluation and treatment as a physician at the Wiregrass Medical Center. Dr. Strunk treats patients of all ages, conducts an outpatient practice, and visits hospitals and geriatric facilities. He attributes his success to his dedication and personal branding skills.
Prior to pursuing his career in psychiatry, Dr. Strunk earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Tennessee Technological University in 1995. His professional affiliations include the Alabama Psychiatric Association, American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. Looking ahead, he plans to become licensed in other states and expand his practice.
