John Van Dyke Included in Distinguished Registry
John Van Dyke was named the Physician of the Year by Huntington Memorial Hospital in 2009

PASADENA, CA, May 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Van Dyke, Medical Doctor at Foothill Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants, Medical Group, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.

Inspired by the work of his uncle, a pediatrician, Dr. Van Dyke entered the medical profession. Starting out as a medical chief in the pulmonary division at Travis Air Force Base, he later founded Foothill Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants, Medical Group. Now celebrating the organization's 40th year in operation, he leads a group of experienced physicians in the quality care of patients with respiratory illnesses. He also is a clinical full professor at the University of Southern California. He teaches physicians enrolled in the residency program at Huntington Memorial Hospital. In 2009, he was named the Physician of the Year for his commendable efforts.

Dr. Van Dyke, who became certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease through the American Board of Internal medicine, holds an MD from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He completed an internship at the Los Angeles County General Hospital, a residency in internal medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center, and a fellowship in pulmonary diseases at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. Crediting his accomplishments to his hard work, desire to learn, and the support he receives from his family and colleagues, he looks forward to continuing in the same capacity in the years to come.

Dr. Van Dyke is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American College of Physicians. He volunteers as a Eucharistic minister at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church.
