Dr. Mayra Bonet-Quiles earned an MD at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico

SEYMOUR, IN, August 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mayra I. Bonet-Quiles, MD, Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist for Schneck Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.

Dr. Bonet-Quiles' expertise in anesthesiology and pain management has been on display at Schneck Medical Center since February 2003. As a pain specialist, Dr. Bonet-Quiles holds the necessary knowledge to reduce suffering and improve the quality of life for patients who experience immense pain. She prides herself on her constant availability to all patients and the two adept nurse practitioners with whom she works. Dr. Bonet-Quiles previously worked at Blanchfield Army Medical Center.

She developed her knowledge at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico, and the University of Puerto Rico, where she completed an MD and residency, respectively. She is a diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management. In order to stay abreast of the latest medical discoveries, Dr. Bonet-Quiles maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the Indiana State Medical Association, the American Society for Pain Management Nursing, the American Medical Association, the Northamerican Neuromodulation Society, and the American Academy of Interventional Pain Physicians. For her excellence in health care, she has been recognized with such awards as the 2008 Top Spinal Cord Implanter Award and Doctor of the Year Award. Additionally, she was recognized as the Best Anesthesiologist in Indiana two years in a row.
