ANDERSON, SC, September 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Deandra Clark, Pediatrician for AnMed Child Health Center, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Pediatrics. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

As a health care professional with 11 years of experience, Dr. Clark is driven by her desire to be the best physician possible for her patients. Specializing in pediatrics, she has practiced at AnMed Child Health Center for the past two years. Her career entails providing general pediatric preventive care for children from birth through 18 years of age. She also cares for children with disabilities and works in the hospital, inpatient care and urgent care center. Furthermore, Dr. Clark manages a healthy weight clinic and an asthma clinic. She also hopes to increase the growth of the practice in the coming years.

In 1996, Dr. Clark earned an MD from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. She went on to complete a residency and internship at the University of South Florida's department of pediatrics; in 2000, she served as the chief resident of the department. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Clark holds a medical license in the states of Florida and South Carolina. She is affiliated with the South Carolina Medical Association.
