Mrs. Peropoulos studied nursing in Greece and became the Nurse in Charge of the Medical Department of the Public Electricity Corporation in Athens; as America had attracted her interest, she was eager to advance professionally. She then worked for the Dr. Denton Cooley Group at St. Luke's Hospital for a time. Later, she joined the Mental Health Department at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston as Supervisor of Mental Health for the Adult and Adolescent Intensive Care Units. Still later, with a lot of initiative and self-direction, she developed the curriculum for, and became the first instructor of the Nursing Assistant Program at Massey College in Houston, TX. She eventually became certified by the Texas Department of Health in Long Term Care while working as the Primary Program Coordinator for the Chaplain School of Nursing Assistants, and obtained accreditation as Program Director for the Medical and Nursing Assistants Competency Evaluation and Training Program. Next, she served as a counselor and instructor in special education and behavioral sciences at River Oaks Academy, a private school for troubled adolescents in Houston, TX.

With her initiative and effort, several new Pan-Macedonian Association Chapters were established in Houston, San Antonio and Dallas, TX; New Orleans, LA; Jackson, MS; Atlanta-Georgia; Las Vegas, NV; Portland, OR; and Seattle, WA. She was a member of the Institute for International Education (IIE); her initiative and effort led to Greece being selected as a featured country for the 19th Annual IIE Festival of Nations, and she was honored by the Consulate General of Greece in Houston.
Mrs. Peropoulos was a member of the church Board of Directors and became the first Philoptochos President (women's philanthropy) of St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church in Houston. She is a member of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI), the Hellenic American National Congress (HANC), the Houston Symphony Chorus and the St. Romanos Chorale Houston. In July, 2001, she was recognized in Servia-Kozani, Northern Greece, by the Cultural Society TA KASTRA.
Long inspired by her enthusiasm for helping people, Mrs. Peropoulos was moved by her passion for assisting others during their time of need to enter into the nursing profession. She feels that her love for working with people on a caring and affectionate level has helped her to achieve success as a nurse. She intends to continue to strive for excellence in her endeavors, and to provide consultative and instructive services to others in the years to come.
